     Washingtonia filifera (Pritchardia filifera Linden ex André 1876) Wendland 1879. California fan palm. Native to the Sonoran Desert outside Kern Co., introduced to Kern Co. and elsewhere in California. Type from plants cultivated in Europe. Twisselmann reported “eight spontaneous trees” “along Kern River near the canyon mouth.”
